Same--in that it's hard to classify by genre. I tend to prefer realistic stories, not a lot of action interests me though. I like cerebral sci fi a lot and honestly anything that can make me laugh and has good characters, is good by me.
Oh my gosh Black Beauty...that book was my favorite when I was younger and the movie still makes me cry too, oh my gosh. Yeah, I've got to agree with PotC and LoTR too, as well--but some of my favorites are probably Donnie Darko, just about all of the Hayao Miyazaki movies like Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, etc. Honestly, though--I watch a lot more tv than movies, and even then I don't watch a lot, I don't have a good attention span for passively watching, even if it's a really thought provoking thing, I just get the urge to multi task. Lately I've been watching a lot of X Files.

Yeah, I'm not really one for action either. It's often so over the top that I can't really help but distance myself from it in a way while watching.
The book was lovely as well, yeah. Ohh Donnie Darko, that one was really nice as well. It's been a while since I've seen it, but it's also a film that I don't think benefits from being rewatched too often. I also watch series more than movies. Though for me it's usually the fact that I have all sorts of things and projects I want to do that stops me from watching a lot. My current favorite would be Peaky Blinders.

Ah, yeah--I've heard of Peaky Blinders but I haven't checked it out yet. Is it a new show?

@felix; I'm not sure, but I believe it's been going for a while now. Apparently fans that started watching when it first aired have had to wait almost a year for the third season. I just stared watching a few months ago and I love it.
@floor; I know the feeling :') heya

@floor; Aight! I just got a Bryce-post done for you, will be up in a second. Also: heathen.
@felix; I definitely recommend it. The cast is very good, but Cillian Murphy really steals the show. My God, that man can act.

cillian murphy! Ah I like him.
I've heard of Orphan Black, not sure it might just be too much for me, a certain level of darkness no matter how much I'll enjoy it in books can be just too graphic in some shows.

Yeah if you're not really into series that get too dark maybe Orphan Black isn't the best choice. It's starts of relatively (emphasis on relatively here lmao) okay but it gets pretty dark eventually. I love it though, because there's also a lot of science/biology talk and whenever I understand what they're saying I can pat myself on the shoulder and feel smart (also Tatiana Maslany is a gift to mankind) (also I'm back again, obviously)

I personally like me a bit of darkness in a series. I don't know jack squat about biology, but I'll be fine.
Oeh, my Itunes library is on shuffle and currently there's a song I haven't heard before titled 'You'll scream tonight'
It, ehm, it doesn't sound like this song is about the fun kind of nightly screaming. Not at all.

Well I mean you never know, people are into all sorts of things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Though how did it end up in your ITunes library if you don't know the song? Is there even an ITunes library? I always feel like a 70yo grandma whenever someone mentions something Apple-related :')

Because I download discographies sometimes and then end up listening to like five songs or something :')
