Wandelen in Rose Garden verveelde nooit. Erin had de riem even af gedaan.

Erin hurried after her dog, but was obviously not nearly as fast and by the time she had spotted Molly again, the small dog had found someone to pester; a girl with sea-green hair, who did not seem pleased by what was happening at all. Molly was not capable of reaching any higher than the girl’s knees, but if you didn’t like dogs, it was probably still a somewhat unpleasant experience. Glad she wasn’t wearing heels today, Erin hurried over to the girl, making apologies from the moment she was within earshot. “I’m so sorry,” she repeated, as she bent over, grabbed Molly by her collar and quickly attached the least again. “She normally never does this!" She got back up and with her free hand ran her hair out of her face. “She didn’t ruin anything, I hope?” she then said, quickly eying the girl’s clothes, hoping that the amount of mud Molly got on them wasn’t too great. Molly was still frantically trying to reach the girl, seemingly determined to make a new friend, but Erin kept the leash tight. She was not a very physically strong woman, but you didn’t need to be to control a tiny, white ball of fluff like Molly. Only Molly herself wasn’t entirely aware of this yet.

'Please go away. Leave me alone, you mongrel! Stop touching me!' she hissed at the fluffy white animal that was leaving muddy paw prints all over her knees and clothing. Kali however knew that causing a scene here was far from desired. It wasn't what was expected from her, and she did not want to be different, she wanted to fit into the rich society she grew up in. Being a freak that attracted animals did not help her achieve that goal. Talking about attracting animals, she heard the swarm of bees she had been running away from droning behind her, a low hum surrounding them as they flew closer. Kali started panicking a bit more and tried to fend of the dog with her hands, at the same time being afraid that the animal would bite her or something. Just be strong, Kali, you can live through this. Talk to the owner of this beast, make sure you get away from it and then go home, have a nice and long bath. Only a few more seconds, you have this. She tried to convince herself that this wasn't the end of her world, this mud and these animals, only succeeding partially. Then she heard a voice quite close to her, a woman's voice. 'I'm so sorry, she normally never does this! She didn't ruin anything, I hope?' The pressure of the dog's paws against her knees disappeared at about the same time and that was at least some relief. 'It... It doesn't matter,' she muttered as reply, now for the first time really looking at the amount of mud on her legs, 'I'll just go wash myself with bleach now.' Kali turned around resolutely, having made up her mind to just leave the garden and lock herself in her room for some more time. Then she walked face first into a larger swarm of bees than she remembered there being. About that moment was the moment she just couldn't take it anymore. The dog, she could deal with that. The mud it had left, sure, it was an inconvenience, but washing machines still existed for the very purpose of cleaning that up. But the bees? The hundreds of tiny wings and legs flapping all around her face, buzzing round her head? That was the breaking point. Kali just stopped there, in the middle of the swarm and broke down in tears.
