General:
Full name: Darius Maslow
Nicknames: Doesn’t have any nicknames (yet)
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Profession: Prison Guard
Background:
Social standing: Middle class
Family: Darius has two half-sisters aged 8 and 11, both from the second marriage of his father, after his mother got arrested and disappeared. The five of them live in a relatively small house on the edge of Blossom Park.
Past: Until Darius was ten years old, he was no more than just another boy in the Middle Ring. There wasn’t really anything that made him special. He just went to school, had a mom and dad and generally had a very average life. Not amazingly good, not amazingly bad, but oh well. That changed somewhat when his mother got arrested. Why exactly, the authorities would not say, not even to his father.
It was a hard time for Darius. He had suddenly become special, but not in the good was. Classmates that used to be his friends, now turned against him, because his mother was apparently “bad”. His father lost his job, and Darius was almost forced to leave school and find work somewhere. He managed to come around with a number of jobs and nearly not enough sleep, but both Darius and his dad knew this couldn’t continue for too long.
The duo had all but given up, when the father met a new woman, one that didn’t seem to care about what had happened. Darius got a new mother, and almost a year later he got a sister. His life became better again, but it still gnawed at him that he didn’t know what had happened to his real mother. Once he was old enough, he went to the nearest recruitment office, to become part of the government troops. In his heart he betrayed his mother, and if he hadn’t wanted to know what happened this badly, he would have never chosen this path, but this was his best shot at finding answers.
Currently Darius is a guard at Ebony Prison, although he doesn’t completely agree with what’s going on in there. Still, if he doesn’t follow his orders his family would feel the consequences, and that’s something he doesn’t want.
Personality:
Passions: His half-sisters, uncovering the truth
Dislikes: The government, himself to some extent
Relationships: He is friends with some of his colleagues, but his love-life is rather non-existent.
Fears: That someone happens to his family
Talents: Although he might not look like it, Darius is rather skilled with his hands.
Weaknesses: His family is his weakness.
Appearance:
Height and build: 1.78, rather muscular but with average build
Skin: Fair
Hair: Dark blonde, almost brown. He tries to tame it with different products but it just won’t work.
Fashion style and accessories: Usually, he wears simple button-ups and jackets, and while at his work the government-issued uniform. He also wears a necklace with a horseshoe, the last thing he has of his mother.
Special features: none
Extra: Have I mentioned already that Darius would literally give everything for his sisters? No? He is willing to give everything he has, including his own life, for his sisters.
