General:
Full name: Troy Redoran
Nicknames: //
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Profession: He does whatever he needs to to get by.
Background:
Social standing: Poor
Family: Troy's family isn't exactly rich. His little sister, Emily, is chronically ill and the costs of her medication are a heavy burden on the family, especially now that Troy's father is unemployed and his mother is carrying the responsibility for most of their income.
Past: From a very young age Troy had to be more mature than he really was. With both parents working their asses off, Troy was as a kid pretty much responsible for the household as well as for taking care of Emily, which has resulted in a very close bond between the two.
Troy was thirteen when his father lost his job. He took over taking care of the household, mostly, and Troy finally had the chance to get out more. In all his naïveté he tried to get a job, but without success. Shortly after a man from his neighborhood introduced him to boxing and he turned out to really have a knack for it.
Suddenly he had an outlet for his frustration surrounding his home life and it fueled him. In a few years time he took leaps forward and by the age of sixteen, the slender thirteen-year-old from back in the day was long gone and Troy had turned into a confident young man, muscular for his age, who quickly found a job in a store, with which he could finally support his family.
From there, not much changed. In the following years he did all sorts of job, one more legal than the other, down to illegal fights, but he always managed to stay out of trouble, mostly by just doing what he had to do, without trying to impress anyone or get cocky. He was always cautious. His family, as much as they hated it, needed his support and getting arrested was not an option.
However, by the time he neared the age of twenty, the line of jobs started to dwindle more and more, as he was a lot more expensive than the current sixteen-year-olds and had no real education to speak of. Everything he knew either came from his father or from acquaintances. No papers, or anything like that.
So because of that, by now Troy is willing to do almost anything as long as he's certain he can get away with it. Legal or not, he is too desperate to care.
Personality:
Passions: Boxing. He's fond of most ballsports as well, but boxing is where his heart is at. Aside from that there isn't really much he's really passionate about. If we're talking about things he just generally enjoys, however, grabbing a beer with some friends is certainly also on the list.
Dislikes:
- Laziness. It frustrates him and he can't really understand it
- Gossip and complaining. Not that he is a saint who's one hundred percent above all that, but it certainly isn't a habit of his and it often just annoys him.
Relationships: //
Fears:
- Losing his loved ones. His entire life revolves around his family.
- Being useless. Being able to contribute is the main thing he gains self-respect from.
Talents:
- He is disciplined
- He is a very good fighter
- He makes a fine leader if he has to, but he can follow orders just as well, though he prefers the former. He can put all his pride aside if that means surviving.
- He has a lot of self-control, making him seem far more patient than he genuinely is.
Weaknesses:
- Very blunt and often doesn't quite realize he's being too harsh until it's too late.
- Actually not very patient. It's his self-control that makes him collected.
- Not very approachable. He's not exactly a man of networking.
- Not open to spiritual things. Yes, there are powers. Yes, he has one. Nee, he doesn't want to go burn incense with you.
- Fairly traditional and not the most liberal thinker.
Appearance:
Height and build: 1.82m, fairly muscular though more so in his upper body than his lower body. Darkbrown eyes.
Skin: He's got a bit of color going for him
Hair: A dark buzzcut
Fashion style and accessories: Simple. He usually wears sweatpants, with on top of that either a hoody or a shirt. Jeans are his idea of 'more classy' clothes. He does not own a suit or even a formal jacket.
Special features: //
Power: (only for the Evolved)
Brief description: Night vision. Troy can, whenever he uses his power, see extremely well in the dark.
Advantages: Excellent sight in the night or in dark rooms
Disadvantages: During use of his power his eyes become lighter, almost white, making them stand out a lot, even in the dark.
Amount of control the character has on a scale from 1 to 10: 4. Turning it on goes well, turning it off not so much and in dark room it often comes on on its own.
Extra:
- He likes dogs a lot
- He has no pets (yet)
