With the amount of information this roleplay will eventually have things are bound to get a little confusing. So because of that here is a brief overview of the kind of roles you can play and the kinds of jobs characters can have.
Do note that we are open to suggestions so if you have an idea not on these lists, just let us know!
NPCs/open characters aren't visible yet, but will be very soon!
Roles
Government
First there's the government. From world leaders to personal assistants; in this roleplay the government insn't just some vague entity, but a faction full of characters that can be played by anyone.
All we ask is for you to keep in touch with us when developing a major character, so we're well aware of what's going on.
You can, for example, play:
- Camp guards
- The camp leader
- A World Council member
- Rosehall's commander
- A personal assistant of a government official
- A normal guard
- Cop
Resistance
In the resistance there's plenty of room for original ideas as well. Claim one of the bigger roles available, and you can have a lot of influence in the plot.
Roles include:
- Lead technician
- Technician
- Accountant
- Local leaders of the Middle, Inner and Outer ring
- The Resistance Leader
- A Cook
- An infiltrant (either someone from the government infiltrating in the resistance, or vice versa)
Civilians
The people who are not working for either one of the factions, though they can certainly be allied to them or sympathize with either one of them.
Roles can include:
- Teacher
- Head of a school
Nomads
These are people who have somehow managed to make a living out in the treacherous wastes. They travel in groups and could very well be allied to one of the factions.
Jobs
In a city like Rosehall there's all sorts of work that needs to be done. You need to earn a living, after all. Of course your social standing influences a lot of your options. As well as how far you're prepared to go.
Outer ring
Most of the people are part of this class, so a lot of them need to be creative to still have ample work to do. Most jobs here do not pay well. For quite a few you hardly need education, but it also means that for a lot of them there isn't really any social security. Not all the work done here is legal, obviously.
Certain jobs, such as cleaning work, allow the employee to work outside the ring they live in.
Jobs in the outer ring can include:
- Cleaning
- Pest removal
- Teacher
- Cop or guard
- Store owner/employee
- Hospitality worker
Middle ring
There's a little less diversity in jobs here, but they sure do pay better, in general, and tend to have more social security going for them. Stores here, however, are more varied, as people have more money to spend on novelty items.
Jobs can include:
- Store owner/employee
- Teacher
- Cop or guard
- Office worker
Inner ring
Most people are here because they already sit on plenty of money, but many of them still work. However, some of the people here aren't as well-paid as they may seem.
Jobs here can include:
- Company owner
- Factory owner
- Politician
- Doctor
- Teacher
- Government official
- Assistant to a government official
- Accountant
- Banker
- Lawyer
